Announcing a New and Exciting Independent Publishing Book Award!

We are excited to announce the inaugural FIRE Book Awards honoring the best independently published titles out there that carry a 2024 copyright date, as well as the Embers Book Awards featuring titles with a copyright date from 2019 to 2023. The FIRE & Embers Book Awards set themselves apart in the landscape of literary competitions with a distinctive and innovative approach. The FIRE Book Awards celebrates three (3) winners — Gold, Silver & Bronze — while the Embers Book Awards will choose a Gold Winner from Fiction and Nonfiction for each year between 2019 and 2023.
The Gold Winners from both the FIRE Book Awards and the Embers Book Awards will participate in an Online Internet Vote that will garner massive exposure worldwide during the process of picking the Grand Prize Winners. These top-tier victors will not only be showcased in an online forum for voting, but will also be featured in a point-of-purchase type display online where books will be available for sale during the voting period. The Internet Vote will select one winner for the FIRE Book Award and one winner for the Embers Book Award.
The Grand Prize Winner in the FIRE Book Award for 2024 will receive $1,500.
The Grand Prize for the Embers Book Award for 2019-2023 will be $250.
There will be a Gold, Silver and Bronze Winner from each of the 35 categories in the FIRE Book Award as well as 6 Special Design Categories for overall excellence in a category. The Embers Book Award will choose a Gold winner for Fiction and Nonfiction for each year from 2019 to 2023. All of the medal winners will be announced December 1, 2024.
This strategic timing will allow the awarded titles time to leverage their accolades for promotional activities providing a significant boost to their book marketing efforts during the critical holiday selling period. This unique blend of recognition and reader engagement underscores The FIRE & Embers Book Awards’ commitment to not only honor literary excellence but also amplify the success of independent authors in the competitive publishing arena.

Deadlines and Entry Fees
Final Submission Deadline — Postmarked by Midnight September 30, 2024
Initial Entry — $75
Up to 3 Additional Categories — $50 each​

​**If you are a publicist or publisher and have multiple books/authors which you would like to enter in the FIRE & Embers Book Awards, we will give you a 20% discount on five (5) or more books that you enter in the competition.
